Insurers and salvage yards trying to get a customer's car without their approval?

A suit has been filed in Angelina County, Texas, Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc., United Services Auto Association, Farmers Insurance Co., Fidelity National Insurance Co., and Progressive Casualty Insurance Co. vs. the Texas Department of Transportation, other civil.

The rumor is, the reason for the suit is to pick up cars without the customer's authorization. Now this would be an endplay around the legislature.

    I tell my customers

Would you sell your car without the check? Why give it to the Insurer without getting paid?

    What do I know?
