“Rollie Benjamin, CEO of the Minnesota-based ABRA Auto Body & Glass chain, was one of several CIC participants to suggest that CIC identify ways that insurers “usurp the authority of the collision repairer” and interfere – by requiring use of a particular vendor, for example – with the repairer’s business rather than just focusing on performance. “We have the responsibility to get results,” Benjamin said. “We need the authority to get those results. We need to know what results the insurance company is looking for, and then be able to make our best judgments on which vendors will help us get those results.”

Does this statement make you wonder if all those supposed great statutes passed in Minnyhaha over the past couple of years were worth the time, effort and expense?

Of course, what could I know…. :D

you have to admit that he is the least brain challenged of the quoted group. He did sorta hit the nail on the head in my estimation as to the role of insurers as it relates to collision repair. Pxss-water for example stated that in essense the estimating providers playing fair is a start...hell, forget them!

What we need to do is come up with some titles. Like Mark Pierson, Director Industry Relations/Legal Liason, Princeton Autobody and Wade Ebert, CEO, Ebert Auto Collision Group/Industry Consultant (and assistant butt kicker to Cobbs Automotive Repair Investigations LLC) Then mayby they would be quoted like Pxss-water who doesn't have sense enough to pour himself out of a boot. And you can quote me on that.... Roy :p
