View Full Version : Allstate agents, in "Good" hands?
Some of the agents were days away from the 20-year service mark needed for early retirement when the conversion took place, said lawyer Peter Buscemi, who represented the plaintiffs.

Allstate has been notorious for forcing long time employees to walk the plank for years. It would be interesting to see how many employees actually stay around long enough to retire and draw their benefits. If they treat their own like this, just imagine the "behind closed doors" schemes that are developed that are directed at us.
Allstate's president at the time was Edward Liddy, who as chairman of the insurance giant American International Group Inc. is now at the center of the storm over bonuses paid by companies receiving government bailouts.

Allstate's lawyer, Richard Godfrey, said that was bound to be the case given the thousands of agents involved. He said the conversion was a legal plan designed to save money.
Can this be LEGAL, offer a twenty year service and then renig at 19 and a half years....... and even admit it?????
Everyday i watch the news I feel going into business on my own might be tough at times but the company many work for just throw you into the pit at a whim........... usually when they have you already bent over, ensuring you break your neck when you hit the bottom....... i still feel safe......
