and are unaware that the gps on your phone will allow someone to track down where you live, work, and play from the photo, you should watch this news report.
Simply to avoid it , turn off the gps when photographing and sending on the internet...............

Not a problem for me.
I use my cameras for photography. I use my computer to access the internet. I use my phone to make phone calls. And I use a topog map and a compass to find my way through the woods.
I know, I know...
That's way too many gadgets when I could just drop piles of money on a phone.
With everybody texting these days, developing the telephone seems like a waste of time. The telegraph would have sufficed just fine.

The only possible logical use for texting would be if you were held hostage in the trunk of a car and texting silently could save your life. Maybe they should cut off the thumbs to the first knuckle of any one caught texting while driving that causes a fatality. But that probably wouldn't stop texters, they'd use their knubbins. I asked a preacher/customer the other day if he could look in to his audience and tell who was texting. He said definately and too many.
And I still refuse to buy a phone with a camera. Although, it seems to be a pretty good defense against alien abductions since no one has taken an extra terrestrial's picture with one yet, at least that we know of and has returned.
My wife and I were in a restaurant yesterday and I looked around the room to see all the folks "social networking" on their "smart phones", completely oblivious to anything going on around them. If someone wants to engage in social networking, doing it with those sitting in the same room with you seems like it would be a good start to me.
