Roy,
I have spent considerable time in southern Mexico and even considered retiring in the state of Yucatan until our government took some pre-emptive tax measures to stop the exodus of retiring Americans from this country to Mexico and all points south.
One of the things I find most frightening, besides the fact that crossing the border is now easier than getting into a football game, is the abundance of castor plants that grow all over the country. For those that don't know, Ricin, one of the deadliest poisons known to man, is made from the castor bean.
Imagine that you are a Mexican tourist with a diaper on your head and have an intense hatred for America. You would like to strike a deadly blow to the Great Satan and Allah put you in a country with all the raw materials you could ever need to inflict a deadly blow. All you have to do is gather the beans, make the poison, and stroll across the border unchallenged to accomplish your mission.
That is just another in a long list of logical reasons that anyone caught sneaking across the border should be shot on sight, not welcomed and granted special priviledges. I am thinking illegal entry into this country would come to an all time low and we have plenty of military personnel coming home from the other Afganistan with time on their hands to do the job.
