I was just reading an article by Ann Coulter, "Goodbye, America! It Was Fun While It Lasted" (http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=30674). Speaking of the stimulus bill she stated,

"Health and Human Services bureaucrats will soon be empowered to overrule your doctor. Doctors who don't comply with the government's treatment protocols will be fined. That's right: Instead of your treatment being determined by your doctor, it will be settled on by some narcoleptic half-wit in Washington who couldn't get a job in the private sector."

While that isn't a lot different than it already is in that insurers call the shots in healthcare and often in auto body repair already, at least nobody has been fined for bucking the system. If we get federal oversight of insurance, could the same fate be upon shops that is proposed upon health care providers?
